Polistil (initially called Politoys) was a toy company headquartered in Milan, Italy.
It was originally a brand owned by APS-Politoys under which in the 60's began the history of Italian slot racing. Slot car racing was a popular hobby in the sixties and Policar played a key role in bringing a slot track to almost every home in Italy.
Now under new owners Slot.It, Policar has relaunched their unique track system. Policar tracks provide excellent grip with their uniquely-designed surface. Track width is sufficiently wide to allow 1/32nd scale cars of various widths to race alongside each other, even with the wider-than-usual slot race trucks! With an assortment of track pieces and various radii, the Policar system will allow one to build circuits of various designs and to varying specifications.
